- Wiring method approved for location
- Wire gauge correct for circuit amperage
- Stapling / fastening every 4 ft and within 12 in of box
- MC/BX connectors installed properly
- Grounding conductors properly sized
- Junction boxes accessible and covered
- Smoke detector rough-in locations marked
- AFCI / GFCI locations noted on plan
- Panel location roughed in with correct clearances
- Service entrance / meter base roughed in
- Low-voltage rough-ins (data, AV, security) complete
- All penetrations firestopped
Panel & Service
- Panel properly labeled with circuit schedule
- Neutral and ground bars properly separated
- Double-tapping buss bars — none present
- Breaker amperage matches wire gauge
- AFCI breakers installed per code
- GFCI protection for required circuits
- Main disconnect accessible
- Grounding electrode system installed
- Service entrance cable properly secured
- Meter can inspection passed
Devices & Fixtures
- All outlets and switches installed and tested
- GFCI outlets test correctly (test/reset functional)
- Arc-fault outlets or breakers test correctly
- All outlets have correct polarity
- Light fixtures installed and operational
- Ceiling fan boxes rated for fan support
- Exhaust fans vented to exterior
- Smoke detectors interconnected and tested
- CO detectors installed per code
- Outdoor fixtures rated for wet/damp locations
- All cover plates installed — no missing plates
- Electrical panel cover installed
- Final megohm / insulation resistance test (if required)
Cleanup & Punchout
- All debris removed from work area
- Wire scraps disposed of properly
- Penetrations patched or caulked
- All temporary wiring removed
- As-built markups delivered to GC
